Amplifier, the lead creative agency behind Indigenous House, engaged West of Here to curate and produce a one-night-only cultural celebration marking the launch of a new content platform and lifestyle brand powered by Indigenous creativity, community, and storytelling. The goal: to design an immersive experience that honored ancestral traditions while illuminating the future of Indigenous representation in media, art, and culture.
West of Here transformed The Bowery Hotel into a living ecosystem of Indigenous creativity expressed through a gathering that fused food, music, fashion, and storytelling into a single act of cultural reclamation and joy.
The evening centered around a multi-sensory dining experience by James Beard Award–winning chef Sean Sherman (The Sioux Chef), whose decolonized menu paid homage to the Four Sisters — corn, beans, squash, and sunflower — through sculptural grazing installations. A marketplace of Native-owned brands and artisans animated the hotel’s spaces, alongside a portrait studio by Evan Benally Atwood, performances by Supaman, Eric Michael Hernandez, DJ Element, and Emcee One, and talks by leading Indigenous storytellers and media innovators exploring self-representation and sovereignty in contemporary culture.
From the culinary offerings to the music, design, and storytelling, each element invited guests into an experience that celebrated what it means to gather, create, and imagine together. It was a vibrant act of community building that set the tone for Indigenous House’s mission to shape a future led by Indigenous knowledge and creativity.
